Holly’s varsity boys track and field team is the third best track team in Oakland County.

The squad earned that distinction by taking third at the Oakland County Meet Friday.

The Bronchos earned their placing by posting four event county championships.

Justin Gaumer earned two of them. He tossed the discus 179-feet-6, dominating the competition. Detroit Catholic Central’s Dylan Young was second, but his throw of 168-0 was over 11 feet behind Gaumer’s toss.

Gaumer also was the county champion in the shot put. He tossed the shot 52-4 3/4, winning the event by over a foot. Royal Oak’s Terrance Moore (51-1 1/2) was second.
