Three Michigan football players running track against Ohio State

Some Michigan football players are getting another shot at Ohio State — in Saturday’s track meet against their archrivals.

A trio of freshmen — quarterback Denard Robinson, receiver Joe Reynolds and receiver Je’Ron Stokes — will run for the Wolverines.

Robinson was one of the fastest sprinters in Florida as a senior in the spring of 2009. He was timed at 4.32 seconds in the 40-yard dash, was on the 2008 state champion 4×100-meter relay team and finished third in the 100-meter dash at the 2008 Florida 4A state championships.

Reynolds was the MHSAA state champion in the 800-meter run as a junior.

Stokes was on the Pennsylvania all-state 4×200-meter relay team as a junior. He ran the 100-meter dash in 10.8 seconds, the 200-meter dash in 22.6 seconds and the 110-meter hurdles in 14.1 seconds.

Junior cornerback Troy Woolfolk was on the track team as well, a 2008 Big Ten outdoor champion as part of the 4×100-meter relay team.
