Eastbrook Product Neideck Signs with Taylor


The Taylor University Athletic Department and Taylor cross country head coach Quinn White are pleased to announce the signing of Sarah Neideck to continue her athletic and academic careers at Taylor beginning in the fall of 2011.

Sarah Neideck, the daughter of Steve and Kim Neideck, will compete on the Taylor cross country team as well as for the women’s track team.

The Eastbrook High School product [http://www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/Athlete.aspx?AID=1405482] is the first recruit signed by White, Taylor’s first year head coach. Neideck was an All-Central Indiana Conference selection in both cross country and track. She formerly ran for Michigan powerhouse Rockford High School, where she competed in the MHSAA state finals in cross country and track from 2007-2009. “We are very excited to have Sarah join us,” White said. “She has competed in some very prestigious high school meets in the past. Her work ethic, enthusiasm, and Christian walk will help her to be an instant fit to our program. We believe Sarah has a great deal of potential and we are excited to see her career continue at Taylor.”

Neideck has posted personal record times of 5:12 in the 1600 meters, 2:18 in the 800 meters, and 19:25 in the 5,000 meter cross country race.
