ADA – Potterville won both the girls and boys Division 4 state championships at Ada Forest Hills Eastern High in what proved to be another dominating day for mid-Michigan’s smallest schools.

Area teams took the first four places in the girls standings, and the top two in boys.

Potterville’s girls scored 51 points, followed by second-place Fowler (43), Pewamo-Westphalia (37) in third and Morrice (34) in fourth.

Area athletes won seven girls events, with Potterville claiming the 800- and 1,600-meter relays, and setting a meet record in the 800 with Jill Whitaker, Jenna Whipple, Kaila Cook and Kelsey Letson running a time of 1:45.38. Whipple, Cook, Letson and Justeen Roe were on the 1,600 relay.
