PREP GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Pioneers finish second in JPCThe Clare High School girls cross country placed second on its home course Wednesday at the third Jack Pine Conference jamboree of the season, ending the day with 75 points. Meridian won with 47 points.

In finishing second in the JPC, it ends the streak of conference championships for the Pioneers at nine straight.

Harrison placed fifth with 88 points and Farwell came in sixth with 113.

Tess Oldenburg won the meet for Clare as she ran a time of 20:15. Lindsay Kriebel was third in 21:27, while Margaret Warner took 19th in 23:35. Amber Frank took 23rd (24:36) and Kaylee Teall placed 29th (25:50).
