Petoskey News-Review – Sports – Petoskey girls’ win T.C. Central Invitational
TRAVERSE CITY — It all came together for the Petoskey High School girls’ cross country team Saturday.

The Northmen placed four runners in the top 30 and held off both Big Rapids and host Traverse City Central to claim the nine-team T.C. Central Invitational.

Petoskey finished with 84 points, while Big Rapids was second with 90, followed by the Trojans, 91.

“The girls’ performance speaks for itself,” Petoskey coach Keith Henning said. “You can’t do better than first place. Many of these girls had an added pressure to attend a band competition three hours later, so I’m really proud of all of them.”

Mason County Central won the boys’ event with 30 points, followed by Big Rapids, 48; and T.C. Central, 82. Petoskey finished in fifth with 121.
