NORWAY – Putting five runners in the top 10, Norway’s young boys cross country team opened the season with a victory here Monday afternoon, topping a six-school, 46-runner field at the Norway Invitational.

“We’re going to take our lumps, but we should be respectable this year,” Knights’ coach Dennis Lynch said.

Andrew Kangas paced the Norway boys by finishing second overall in 18 minutes, 32 seconds.
