Is it worth the time commitment for you and your kids? We've done running-specific core and strength training for years, but pressure is being brought to bear for all sports at our school to "buy in" fully to BFS, year-round. To me it sounds like a great program for basketball, football, soccer, sprinters, jumpers, etc. but I'm curious about the benefits for distance runners.
