Hurdles
Not sure when being proud turns to boosting -

My three senior hurdles ran in their last home meet tonight:

15.37; 15.51; 15.84 - The Hopkins guy really focused on his hurdles and ran a fine race for second in 15.43.

They were absolutely jacked up. #4 (sophomore) ran 16.17 and #5 (sophomore) ran 16.84; #6 is a frosh and he 3-stepped for the first time and ran 18.00

To say the least they are excited about the shuttle hurdles this weekend.

RE: Hurdles
what meet this weekend?

Just don't get so jacked that you get a DQ. Wyoming Park had a half dozen DQ's last year in shuttle hurdles.

RE: Hurdles
We are at Godwin - not Frank Grimm

cooler temps might shock the system of some

West Catholic would be a sweet match up for us in the hurdles .... all too some I am afraid, all too soon.

Hopkins guy sizzled us with a 41.2 (after he ran the 400 relay - about 2 minutes of recovery max). My top three in the 300s: 42.1; 42.3 and 42.55 - we need to cut a a bunch more time in our regional to be competetive...

RE: Hurdles
crazy timing today - we run a meet record 59.9; 2nd place is 1:03.6

You can see how it happens, runners take off in lanes 1-3-5-7 and "which lane should I time???" Well guess what --- no one punches the button for first place; two people time 2nd place (1:03.6 and 1:03.7) so the meet officials give us 1:03.6; it was so dissapointing; the comment was it wouldn't be fair to the old record holders to go by a couple of coaches watches instead of the official time (will it isn't fair to those four seniors who broke 1 minute either)

I will try to post the video when I get a chance; we beat second by 116 frames on my camera (30 frames a second) which is equal to 2.533 second

RE: Hurdles
well of course we aren't in position to accurately time etc, but it is obvious watching the last hurdle that you had nearly four seconds lead over second place ... so giving you essentially the same time is unfair

to err is human ...
