MHSAA Cross Country Rules & Regulations
Please help. I am trying to find any and all documents which contain all of the MHSAA Cross Country Rules & Regulations. e.g. Course set-up standards. I am aware of 2013 Cross Country Rules Information & Update http://www.mhsaa.com/portals/0/documents...nterps.pdf and MHSSA Coaches Guide Book http://www.mhsaa.com/Portals/0/Documents...0guide.pdf But neither of these contain the complete rules. I've been told that I will find any and all documents which contain all of the MHSAA Cross Country Rules & Regulations on http://www.mhsaa.com/sports/boyscrosscou...ls.aspxbut I could not find the complete set of rules and regulations. I realize that I might need to order documents which contain all of the MHSAA Cross Country Rules & Regulations from MHSAA but I don't know what to ask for or who to contact. Thank you

RE: MHSAA Cross Country Rules & Regulations
Most of the rules are in the NFHS rule book, as modified by Michigan. Most of the modifications will appear in the regional info or attending schools info typically. You might also look to the ATOM site which is the officials association. Mark Uyl is in charge of cross country at the MHSAA if you need more.

RE: MHSAA Cross Country Rules & Regulations
I did go to http://www.nfhs.com/ and I saw two booklets which I would think would be good for me to order.

http://www.nfhs.com/p-759-2013-2014-trac...-2013.aspx

http://www.nfhs.com/p-766-2013-track-fie...-book.aspx

Assuming that the above two booklets are good resources, where would one find any and all MHSAA rules changes which are currently in place?

I found the 2013 rule changes (http://www.mhsaa.com/portals/0/documents...terps.pdf) but I would think that there would be a document/booklet which would list all currently active rule changes from the NFHS booklets which are specific to Michigan.

RE: MHSAA Cross Country Rules & Regulations
There is no one place to find all the rules. The online MHSAA rules meetings that all head coaches are required to take contains many things in regards to dates, uniform rules, heat and concussion protocol, and most general Michigan rules. As far as rules, the NFHS rulebooks (rules and casebook) will contain the specific rules of XC. Michigan specific rules are covered mostly in the online rules meeting, yearly Interpretation, in the Participating Schools Tournament Information, in the Tournament Managers Manual (MHSAA) which relates specifically to MHSAA sponsored meets. Some of these are requirements for regional hosts but are not always NFHS mandates for running your own dual, jamboree, invite, etc. If you want specific answers to specific questions, please contact the MHSAA or MITCA.

RE: MHSAA Cross Country Rules & Regulations
Thank you all for your help. Although I am not new to Cross Country, I do find it surprising that there is not a central place for all MHSAA rules governing Cross Country. I understand that the national rules are our standard but one would expect an additional posting on the MHSAA site which would contain a complete listing all rules (still in effect) which have been amended or "deleted" or added to these national rules.
