ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Sophomore/freshman Robert Peddlar (Kingston, Jamaica/Wolmer’s Boy’s) earned his first career NCAA regional mark in his triple jump win with a new career-best distance of 50-4 (15.34m) to pace the University of Michigan track and field team on Friday (May 8) at the annual Len Paddock Invitational at Ferry Field. Peddlar was one of three Wolverines to pick up wins on the first day of competition.

After fouling his first two attempts of the day, Peddlar recovered to easily out-leap his previous career high of 49-5 3/4, which he set during the indoor season. The Kingston, Jamaica, native’s jump was over three feet better than the rest of the field and the only NCAA regional mark of the day in the event.
