HUDSONVILLE GIRLS TIE FOR FIRST AT LOWELL: The Eagles girls used several first-place finishes to tie for the top spot at the Lowell Invitational on Saturday.

Hudsonville and Grand Ledge finished in a first-place tie with 135 points. The Eagles helped to seal the tie by winning the 1600-meter relay, while Grand Ledge did not earn enough points in their pole vault relay to overtake Hudsonville for the win. Caledonia, Greenville, Hartland, Lowell and West Michigan Lutheran also competed in the tournament.

The Eagles took first place in all field events except the pole vault, which they did not compete in due to injury. Hudsonville girls coach Eric Hune said that all the top finishes were key to tying for first.
