Holland, MI —

The Hope men’s and women’s track teams had some fine distances and times Friday, but both finished second in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Field Day on Friday.

“When we scored it out (before the meet), we kind of figured we’d be in second place in both men’s and women’s,” Hope coach Kevin Cole said.“We would have liked to have won, but a lot of good things would have had to have happened, especially on the women’s side.”

Calvin was the league champ in both men’s and women’s track. The Calvin men had 244.5 points to runner-up Hope’s 183.5 points. The Calvin women had 322 points while the Hope women finished second with 212.5 points.
