Hamilton Wins Green
HAMILTON—The Hamilton boys’ track and field team used a combination of outstanding individual performances and depth to with the OK Green Conference Track and Field meet Friday, May 8. The Hawkeyes were led by Zach Heerspink, Matt Tyink, Troy Sneller, David Ptacek and Dakota Sale as they took several individual honors at the meet.

Heerspink set a new standard in the long jump with a leap of 21’6”, but his teammate Tyink was right behind him with a leap of 21’4.5”. Heerspink also won the high jump at 6’2”, well below his seasonal best, and the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.11

Ptacek set a new meet record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.52 while his teammate Sneller established a new record in the 300-meter low hurdles at 40.13.
