ROCHESTER HILLS — Jeff Bord had a career-best time of 15 minutes, 52.3 seconds, helping the Ann Arbor Greenhills High School boys cross country team finish in second place with 45 points at the MIAC meet Tuesday in Rochester Hills.

Winning the six-team meet was Southfield Christian (25), led by individual winner Victor Allen.

“The kids we had did very well,” Greenhills coach Jim Hare said. “Almost everyone had a career or season best. (Bord) has been running good all year. He’s been consistently lowering his time.”

Other career-bests came from the Gryphons’ Eddie Kelly, who took 7th (18:11.1), and Lewis Johnson, who went 12th (18:41.8). Meanwhile, Michael Bak clocked in a season-best time of 19:04.9 for 17th place.
