Grand Haven’s cross country teams turned in a sweep in the Division 1 standings at Saturday’s 13th annual Don Anderson Trail Run, as both the Buccaneers’ boys and girls shined among a field of 15 schools and 341 runners from around West Michigan.

The Buccaneers’ boys narrowly beat out Kenowa Hills for first place overall, nipping the Knights by a 36-40 score in cool, overcast conditions. The Grand Haven girls won more convincingly, placing an outstanding eight runners in the top 10, including the first-place finisher, Cristina Perez.
