Grand Blanc’s Omar Kaddurah, Flint’s Dynasty McGee earn All-America status at Nike Indoor Nationals track and field meet

BOSTON — Omar Kaddurah of Grand Blanc and Dynasty McGee of Flint earned high school All-America status Sunday at the Nike Indoor Nationals.

Kaddurah finished fourth in the mile with a time of 4:13.33, while McGee was fifth in the 400 meters in 56.20 seconds. Both runners are juniors

The mile was won by Alex Hatz of New York, whose time of 4:05.50 ranks third all-time on the U.S. boys’ indoor list.

Kirubel Erassa of Georgia was second in 4:07.28 and Colby Alexander of Ohio third in 4:11.46.

Out of 50 finishers in the race, 42 broke 4:30. Among them were Troy’s Michael Atchoo (25th, 4:23.27) and Lake Orion’s Sean Bone (27th, 4:23.56).

Briana Nelson, a sophomore from South Carolina, won the girls’ 400 race in 55.00.
