Flint Powers Catholic girls win Division III title at Holly Invitational cross country meet

DAVISBURG, Michigan – Flint Powers Catholic didn’t have a runner in the top 10, but won the Division III portion of the Holly Invitational cross country meet on Saturday.
Goodrich’s Taylor Pogue won the race in 18:40, 20 seconds ahead of Zeeland West’s Rachele Schulist.
Powers’ top runner was freshman Kaylie Milne, who was 11th in 20:26. The Chargers had 112 points to beat Jackson Lumen Christi by nine.
Also scoring for the Chargers were freshman Sarah Waraniak (18th, 20:52), sophomore Jessica Adams (19th, 20:52), junior McKenzie Mora (28th, 21:16) and sophomore Grace Hildensperger (36th, 21:30).
Lumen Christi had Jessica Anater (fifth, 20:13) and Mickey Lundlow (eighth, 20:19) in the top eight, but its next scorer was in 34th place.
