Angela Swain’s late push gives Milan girls cross country team first place at Erie-Mason Relays

Milan High School senior Angela Swain passed a pair of Monroe runners in the final 100 yards of Tuesday’s Erie-Mason Relays, earning the Big Reds a first-place finish in the process.

Swain’s late push gave her and relay partner Tara Lewis a a second-place finish overall. Two-runner teams alternated each mile over a six-mile race. Swain and Lewis finished in 36:12.0.

Milan finished the 13-team event in first place with 15 points, followed by Monroe (17) and Temperance Bedford (33).
