“We have a sound team because we are not just here to win individual events, we’re always cheering each other on,” senior sprinter and long jumper Tim Kulang said. “Our biggest goal is to win a team championship and nothing less.”

The Trojans won a team championship, dominating the regional with 166 points. Haslett was a distant second with 96.5. The next stop for the East Lansing boys will be the Division II State Finals Saturday, June 4.

Kulang is a member of all three sprint relay teams for the East Lansing boys.

“We wanted to come out here and have everyone do well,” Kulang said.

“The weather is good so we wanted everyone to [get personal records] today and do better than we have all year.”
