Divine Child girls hurdled obstacles to sprint their way to a track title.
This time, there was no suspense.

Divine Child won the Press & Guide All-Area Girls’ Track Meet by just 2.5 points last year.

On Saturday, the Falcons ran away with the championship, racking up 144.5 points to finish way ahead of second-place Dearborn High with 87. Host Edsel was third with 71.5, followed by Robichaud with 29.5 and Fordson with 18.

“the girls all did a fantastic job,” said DC coach Tony Mifsud, especially the hurdlers.

“We went 1-2-3 in both and that was 36 points for us right there.”
