The annual Algonac Muskrat Cross-Country Classic is taking on a new look this summer.

The event has been moved from the high school grounds to Stoney Creek Metro Park because of construction on the course.

Seven races are scheduled every 30 minutes, starting with a boys and girls combined middle school race.

Competing in Division I (Class A schools) will be Anchor Bay, Port Huron High and Port Huron Northern from the area.

Algonac, Capac, Croswell-Lexington, Marine City, Marysville, Richmond and St. Clair are the area squads running in Division II (Class B and C schools).

The first of three Blue Water Area Conference cross-country Jamborees is scheduled for Wednesday in Almont.
