Ann Arbor Pioneer girls cross country wins Division I race at Holly Invitational

DAVISBURG — Elizaveta Boudreau finished third and all five Pioneer High School girls cross country scorers were in the top 21 as the Pioneers cruised to a win in the Division I race at the Holly Invitational.

Boudreau finished in 19:22, followed closely by teammates Katherine Hoevet (8th, 19:49) and Tara Jibson (20:03) Saturday at Springfield Oaks County Park.

“Our top three kids are becoming very consistent,” said Pioneer coach Bryan Westfield. “I was impressed with our performance.”

Junior Christine Lim finished 17th (20:18) in her first varsity run and Laura Knight was 21st (20:33) to lead Pioneer to a team total of 58 points. Lakeland was second with 92 points.

Lincoln was the only other local team in the field, finishing 14th with 427 points. Alexa Geider’s 49th-place finish led the Railsplitters.

Waterford Mott’s Shannon Osika won her third straight Holly Invitational individual title, finishing in a time of 18:27.
