Adrian runs well, claims title
EATON RAPIDS, Mich. –

After Friday’s strong showing, the Adrian High School boys track team may receive more attention from voters in upcoming state polls.

The Maples finished ahead of Division 2 state ranked Eaton Rapids and Charlotte en route to claiming the title at the Eaton Rapids Invitational. The Maples had a score of 152, while Eaton Rapids finished with a 146.5 points to place second. Charlotte (124.5), Onsted (56) and Marshall (40) rounded out the scoring at the meet.

Adrian had six first-places in the meet, including three in relays. The 3,200 relay (Ricky Perez, Zach Burciaga, Jake Simmons, Calvin Howard) 400 relay (Tyler Davis, Cody Nolan, Jamel Jenkins, Tyler Graham and 800 relay (John Newsome, Nolan, Graham, Nick Galvan) each finished first at the meet.
