CROSS COUNTRY: Woodhaven boys remain perfect
Woodhaven remained unbeaten in Downriver League competition after sweeping a double-dual meet from Lincoln Park and Trenton.
The Warriors defeated the host Trojans 20-35 and topped the Railsplitters 15-50 last Wednesday to run their record to 5-0 and take sole possession of first place.
“The boys were focused and it showed in their performance,” Coach Mike Dennisuk said.
Nick Perry, Grant Truskowski and Azam Khan took the top three spots for Woodhaven, which also got a sixth from Mike Kent and an eighth from Josh Denney.
Aaron Horst was fourth and Jake Sclater was fifth for the Trojans, who also topped Lincoln Park 15-50.
Victor Boron, Kurtis Brushaber and Michael Nowak rounded out the scoring for Trenton.
