Many athletes participated in MHSAA regional track and field meets this past weekend. Boys and girls competed in four separate divisions based on the size of their schools.
The track and field regional meet tests the caliber of the area’s prime athletes, because only the top two athletes in each event qualify for an opportunity to compete at the state meet on May 30.
If an athlete does not place first or second place in their event they may still qualify by fulfilling the additional qualifying standards instituted by the Michigan High School Athletic Association. This qualifying time or measurement must be executed at the appropriate division regional meet.
Every athlete competed with a passion and belief that their goals had merit, worth and intensity.
Many goals were attained. Many were surpassed. Triumph. Joy.
